Belltown Writers-in-Residence

The Hugo Huts: Our Belltown Residencies

The Hugo Huts, two former cannery cottages nested in the center of an urban garden, are located in the transitional neighborhood of Belltown. Huts terms run for 12 months, from September through August. This year, our Hugo Huts writers-in-residence are:

Todd Faulkner is a native foster child of Washington, raised in center state. He is involved in writing and study circles with other students in Richard Hugo House and Bent Writing Institute. With the support of peers and mentors he continues honing his skills with writing and performances throughout the city at Seattle Poetry Slam and Bumbershoot festival open mics, with a foray into a riotous stand-up comedy performance at the Seattle Underground. He is currently working on a humorous coming-of-age-in-foster-care memoir.
