By becoming a member of Hugo House, you declare your commitment to writing and reading. It's that easy.  You also join a community of people who believe that writing is a vital part of life and that art is not a luxury. Plus, Hugo House members get a bunch of cool benefits:

  • Discounts and early registration for Hugo Writing Classes (avoid the dreaded wait list!);
  • Invitations to members-only parties;
  • Discounts on Hugo merchandise, on renting space at the House and on tickets to select event;
  • 10% off all books purchased at Elliott Bay Book Company;
  • Use of our Member Library, where you can access writing reference books and computers;
  • Use of the Hugo House WiFi connection;

All memberships last one year. Individual memberships cost $50; memberships for full-time students, K-12 teachers and seniors over 65 are $25; and you can get a membership for your whole household (two adults and all kids under 18) for $65. Your dues are tax deductible and can be matched by your employer if your workplace has a matching gift program.

1. Push the "Donate Now through Network for Good" button below;
2. Enter the cost of the membership level you're signing up for (i.e. regular membership is $50, household membership is $65, memberships for students, K-12 teachers and seniors over 65 are $25). Membership dues are tax deductible;
3. Fill out your donation and privacy preferences;
4. Under "Designation" type "Membership";
5. If you're signing up at the teacher, student or senior rate, indicate this in the "Dedication" field (i.e. "Student Membership");
6. Fill out your credit card information as instructed.
