In Case of Inclement Weather

HOW TO REGISTER ONLINE OR BY MAIL, PHONE OR FAX
During the first week of member registration, students may register by telephone or in person only. Once general registration begins, students may also register online, through mail or by fax.

1.    Register online here; OR  
2.    Call Hugo House at (206) 322-7030 with your credit card information. We’re here from noon to 6 p.m. weekdays and noon to 5 p.m. Saturdays (except holidays), OR
3.    Mail a completed registration form with your tuition check or credit card information to Registrar, Richard Hugo House, 1634 11th Avenue, Seattle, WA 98122. If you already are a member or you become a member at the time of registration, take the member tuition rate. OR
4.    Fax your registration and credit card information to us at (206) 320-8767.
5.    Online registration is not available for youth classes. To register for youth classes, email margotcase@hugohouse.org, OR call us at (206) 322-7030.

•    Full refunds will be made if Richard Hugo House cancels the class.
•    If a notice of cancellation is received in writing at least 3 business days prior to the start of a class, Hugo House will refund tuition less a $35 cancellation fee.
•    If a notice of cancellation is received less than three business days prior to the start of classes of any length, or within one business day following the first class meeting of a six- or ten-week class, or an intensive, the cancellation fee will be $70.
•    If a notice of cancellation is received later than one business day after the first class meeting of a six- or ten-week class, or an intensive, no refund will be provided.
•    For classes meeting fewer than four times, no refunds will be made after the class begins.
•    Please note: there will be a $15 fee for class transfers unless the transfer is due to Hugo House cancelling a class.

TEXTS
Tuition fees do not include required or suggested texts. If there are no texts listed in the catalog, your instructor will notify you.

SCHOLARSHIPS
Tuition assistance requests for fall quarter must be received by September 20, 2010. To apply, send in a completed registration form accompanied by a brief letter addressed to the scholarship committee. The letter should explain your interest in the class, why you need our help and what, if anything, you can afford to contribute. Scholarships are determined on a quarterly basis for the current term's classes. We grant only one scholarship per student each quarter, no more than two scholarships per student per year. Deferments are not allowed. For more information about the J.B. Walters Scholarship Fund, please contact Sara Brickman, or call (206) 322-7030.

IN CASE OF INCLEMENT WEATHER
If Hugo House decides to cancel classes due to inclement weather, we will note this on the home page of the Web site ½ hour before the first class of the day.
