Cabaret

Cabaret stageThe Cabaret is a performance space on the main floor of Richard Hugo House. It has small tables and wooden chairs and seats up to 80 people. The Cabaret is available for rent, and is often used for public and private readings, meetings and concerts.

The Cabaret has a 10x8 stage at the center of the space and is equipped with a sound system and a basic lighting arrangement. Hugo House staff can provide assistance with the set-up of a basic wash of lights and 1-2 microphones, but will not run sound and lights during the event. Renters will need to provide their own technical staff for any additional technical support. Access to additional technical equipment in the Cabaret will require an initial meeting between any technical staff employed by renter and our facility manager.

Cabaret tablesRental rates are: arts and nonprofit events at $150 per night (or for any 5-hour period); other events at $225 per night (or for any 5-hour period).

Hugo House also has a café on the first floor adjacent to the Cabaret that can be opened for events in the Cabaret or theater. The café offers coffee, tea, wine, beer, cocktails, soft drinks and snacks. If an event is occurring in the theater, the Cabaret is not available for rent.
